We were looking for something to do today since the kids had off school and the weather is gorgeous. I had been hearing about a new play place near 40/42 called Go Outside and Play Now and we decided to check it out.
It was about a 15 minute drive from my house in Garner, Wake Co and was a straight shot down Cornwallis Rd. Easy breezy to get there. Once we arrived we were pleasantly surprised that the first visit was free – bonus! My kids couldn’t decide whether they wanted to start their adventure so they scattered in three different directions and were quickly entertained. I think the giant tunnel side ended up being everyone’s favorite and we soon found out when the owner came over that you can go even faster if you sit on a piece of carpet. That thing really flies!
They spent the majority of time at this station, but there is tons more to do from sand volleyball, ping pong, feeding the ducks and chickens and climbing on all of the structures, the huge tire swings, the laser tag or the mock campground.
With an entry fee of $7-$10 we felt this was a day well spent. The kids got fresh air, we had several hours of fun and I won at laser tag!
For more information on this venue go to: http://www.goplayoutsidenow.com/index.html. The owners are delightful and this is a fantastic place to spend the day with your family. They are open all year round and we can’t wait to go back and play laser tag in the snow!
